To create a Vield account, you must:
For Personal Loans:
- Be 18 years or older
- Be employed (full-time, part-time, or casual)
- Be a permanent resident or citizen of Australia
- Intend to use the loan for personal or domestic purposes only
For Commercial Loans:
- Be 18 years or older
- Be a permanent resident or citizen of Australia
- Intend to use the loan for business purposes only
Target Market Determination (TMD)
Vield's products are designed for customers who:
- Hold highly liquid crypto assets (BTC or ETH) and are willing to use them as security
- Are seeking secured loans for a short, fixed term (12 months)
- Require certainty on repayments and interest rates
- Can demonstrate the ability to repay the loan
- Are comfortable using online and mobile applications
Account Setup Process
Step 1: Create Your Account
- Visit the Vield web portal or download the Vield app
- Provide your personal information (name, email, date of birth, address)
Step 2: Complete KYC Verification
Vield is required by law to verify your identity under Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF) regulations.
You'll need to provide:
- Government-issued ID (driver's license or passport)
- Proof of address
- For commercial loans: Company details, information on ultimate beneficial owners, directors, and authorized users
Vield uses two trusted third-party verification providers:
- FrankieOne (Frankie Financial Pty Ltd)
- BronID (Brontech Pty Ltd)
Your information is handled in accordance with Vield's Privacy Policy, FrankieOne's Privacy Policy, and BronID's Privacy Policy.
Step 3: Assessment
During signup, you'll answer questions about your financial situation and loan intentions. This helps us ensure our products are suitable for your needs and that you can repay the loan.
Timeline
- Account creation: Immediate
- KYC verification: Usually completed within 24 hours, but can take up to a few days in some cases
If your verification is taking longer than expected, wait 24 hours before contacting support at support@vield.io.
What Happens After Verification?
Once verified, you can:
- Deposit BTC or ETH as collateral
- Apply for a personal or commercial loan
- Apply for a Vield Non-Custodial Mastercard
Account Security
Your responsibility:
- Keep your account login details confidential
- You are responsible for all activity on your account
- Never share your password with anyone
Update your information:
You must keep your personal details accurate and up-to-date. Contact support@vield.io if your circumstances change (address, employment status, etc.).
Verification Rejection
If your verification is unsuccessful:
- You'll receive a phone call explaining why
- You may be asked to provide additional documentation
- If you believe the decision is incorrect, contact support@vield.io
